A Tornado Was Here

A tornado actually came through our small community.
Many of the large trees on the local Hospital grounds were twisted and snapped off. It then followed a path up warm springs avenue leaving a trail of broken trees.

Many people in town didn't know what was happening as it was only about 15 to 20 feet wide.
The news reel covered a lot of detail and pictures, however I was aware and I was afraid for my family... also myself too.
I am glad no one was really hurt, however there were a few injuries.

Thinking about it now... we were very lucky that it didn't come up our street.

I Hate Getting Old

I will be 74 years old soon, to be exact on July 4th, 2011.

I go to work and I am not physically able to do many of the things I used to do.
One example is that I can no longer pick up the 80 pound bags of concrete and I can't climb up and over things as I did 5 years ago.
If I were to be placed in a position where I would have to meet the physical conditions of the job description, I would fail.
I am respected my the younger men and women as the person that can answer almost any problem anyone could have, based on my past experience. That gives me an edge when there are jobs I can't do as most will offer to do them for me.

The biggest question I have now is... how long will I be able to keep the job as It is becoming almost impossible to do. Also, I am on my feet at least 8 and a half hours a day on a concrete floor.
I come home hurting so much I actually have a hard time getting out of the car and walking into the house. My back, legs and feet are usually swelled up considerably by the end of the day.

I wore a pedometer for a couple of days to see how far I would walk in a day and both days showed I had walked a little over 9 miles each day.

So, what's left... well, I am working very hard with my best friend to establish an income from on-line websites, also we are blogging too.
So far, we haven't made a dime, but I know from experience that persistence does pay off. So, I work at it every day... after work and on days off too.
My agreement is a very simple one based on trust with a verbal agreement of a 50/50 percent split.
I have placed all the sites payment info to go directly into her PayPal account.
I had 3 reasons for doing that. First, I trust her implicitly. Second, at my age, anything could happen to me at any time and if money did flow in, there would be no one to disperse it. Lastly, all income from everything we do should have just point of control. That makes everything work much more smoothly.

This just another form of planning ahead....... JUST IN CASE !!!!

I found out WHY !!!

My friends computer was froze in a position and it was believed that it was working.

As it turned out, after rebooting, that computer showed all the messages I had left.

So, the lesson from that simply is.... if you don't hear from me, or I don't hear from my friend.. I will simply re-boot and see if that was the problem.

We have kept in touch ever since with no problems.

I am wondering why !!!!

Yesterday I came home from work, had supper and went to my computer to chat with my very best friend.
I typed a couple of very short messages, basically saying I was home and available to chat. A couple of minutes later, my friends computer was turned off and I haven't heard a word since.
This is very strange as we chat every day and mostly in the evenings. We keep each other up to date on our lifes events and what's happening.
We are also partners in some "On Line" stuff that, if we can sell it, we can make some money. We have a 50/50 arraangement.
SO, I AM WONDERING WHY I HAVEN'T HEARD A WORD SINCE THEN.

My Blogging Record

I hit a record high today in blogging.
I was able to invite 20 bloggers in Food and 20 in Art to to a Link Exchange. That's a total of 40 in one day !!!

I did some research as to how to get the most from blogging and I am using the technique I learned from the research.
I feel so good about being able to assist Rachel in blogging for money.

I realize that she has agreed to share with me as I will share with her if we have any sales.
We are only getting about 2 or 3 clicks a day, at least they are clicking..so that's a plus.

I shall keep going til we do make money....

I HAVE A SISTER

Last evening my daughter, Lisa, called and we spoke of her relentless hunt on "Ancestry dot com" for our backgrounds and just information.

She has uncovered a wealth of information that I didn't know. First off... I have a sister. I always believed I had a twin sister and she died at child birth. At least. that's what I was told and the funny part about it is the name given at the time happens to be correct. Her name is Sarah and Lisa has her address someplace in California.

There is a lot of other information she shared that fills in a lot of blanks that I have had for years.

She is still digging and at some point in the summer when we visit her in Georgia, we will put all the information together in some sort of cronological order that makes sense.

I will be able to update my Novel about my life noiw that I will have all the pertinant information to do it with.

WOW... I am excited !!!!!

My Dreams are So Different Now

I always have more than one dream every night, but I can only remember the last one clearly.

Rachel hasn't recorded any for a couple of days, so I guess she can't remember them like I do. I wonder why, I have talked to other people that say they can remember most of theirs.

At this very moment, it's noon on sunday and I am waiting for her to sign in.

I love chatting with my bestest friend ever..... I wish she had more time to give me sometimes.

I wish I was as young as she is for just one week. I would visit and go dancing every night for a week. We would have a wonderful time... Some day I will visit, I have promised her that. I always keep my promises.
